Miguel Simon is a PhD student from Valencia. In the lab, he investigates how light quality regulates the biosynthesis of secondary metabolites in plants.

In particular, he studies how tomato plants accumulate pigments which color non-photosynthetic tissues such as fruits.

Outside the lab, Miguel really likes different kind of activities... but maybe the most remarkable is theatre, as he acts as amateur in musicals. This free-time activity has helped him to feel comfortable when he has to give a seminar at work or has to speak to an audience.
